Four categories, nothing pre-ticked, and rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. This page lists every cookie this site can set and what each one does.

01What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are essential — without them a
site cannot remember that you dismissed a banner or that a form submission is genuine. Others are optional
and exist to measure or personalise.
This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage, since the rules are the same
regardless of the mechanism.
02Our Approach
Nothing optional runs before you agree to it. That is not a stylistic choice; it is what the ePrivacy
rules and the GDPR require, and we implement it strictly:
Nothing is pre-ticked. Every optional category is off until you switch it on.
Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. Both are one click, on the same screen, styled with equal prominence.
Declining actually declines. If you reject, the Google Analytics script is never added to the page. It is not loaded-but-idle; the request is never made.
Your choice lasts 12 months and you can change or withdraw it at any moment via Cookie Settings in the footer.
Google Consent Mode v2
Before you choose, every storage type — analytics, advertising, personalisation, functionality — is set
to denied. Only security storage, which protects form submissions, is on. If you consent, those
signals are updated; if you do not, they stay denied for the whole visit.
03The Four Categories
Strictly necessary — always on
Required for the site to work: remembering your consent choice and securing form submissions. These
cannot be switched off and hold no personal data beyond the record of your choice.
Preferences — off by default
Would remember choices such as region or display settings. Currently unused on this site;
leaving it off changes nothing today. It exists so that if we add such a feature, your prior choice governs it.
Analytics — off by default
Google Analytics 4 tells us which pages are read and how people arrive, in aggregate, so we can improve
the site. IP addresses are anonymised. Never used for advertising.
Marketing — off by default
Would allow measurement of advertising campaigns. Currently unused. We run no advertising
on this site and place no advertising trackers.
04Exactly What Is Set
The complete list for megacommercialenterprises.com. If you reject non-essential cookies, only the first row exists.
Name
Duration
Purpose
mce-consent
12 months
Set by us. Stores which categories you allowed, with a timestamp. This is both how we honour your choice and our record that you made it. Strictly necessary.
_ga
2 years
Google Analytics. Distinguishes one browser from another so visits can be counted. Only if you allow analytics.
_ga_RHJ7XM5JJJ
2 years
Google Analytics. Keeps session state for our specific property. Only if you allow analytics.
cf_*
Session to 30 days
Cloudflare, our security and delivery network. Distinguishes genuine visitors from automated attacks. Strictly necessary; set for every visitor.
Our analytics property is G-RHJ7XM5JJJ. We use no tag manager, no advertising platform, no
social media pixels and no third-party trackers on this website.
05Third Parties
Only two third parties are involved, and only one of them is optional.
Cloudflare — delivers and protects the site. Strictly necessary; runs for every visitor. See Cloudflare's own privacy documentation for detail.
Google Analytics 4 — optional, consent-gated. Google acts as our processor. Data may be transferred outside the EEA under Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Open Cookie Settings in the footer at any time to change or withdraw
consent. On desktop a small "Cookies" tab also sits in the bottom-left corner once you have chosen.
In your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Blocking strictly necessary
cookies may stop parts of this or any site from working properly.
Withdrawing is as easy as giving
Withdrawing consent takes the same two clicks as granting it, and takes effect immediately for the rest
of your visit. Deleting the mce-consent cookie resets you to no consent, and the banner returns.
07Changes
If we add a service that sets cookies, we will update this policy and increase the version number our
consent record carries. Raising that version re-asks everyone rather than silently relying on a choice
made about something else — which is the legally correct behaviour and, we think, the honest one.
Material changes will be dated at the top of this page.
Questions About Cookies?
If anything here is unclear, or you think we have set something we have not described,
tell us and we will look into it.
We use strictly necessary cookies to make this site work. With your consent, we also use
analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, plus preference and marketing cookies
where relevant — nothing is ever sold or shared. Change or withdraw your choice at any
time via ‘Cookie Settings’ in the footer. Details:
